Roof repairs · Clondalkin, Dublin
A closer look beneath the tiles
A recurring leak beneath solar panels led us to damaged roof felt. We renewed the underlay in the affected section and repointed the ridge caps.

What needed attention
The roof was leaking beneath an existing solar array. Opening the affected section revealed worn felt with holes beneath the tiles. The location of the leak alone does not establish that the solar panels caused it.
How we approached it
With the panels over the work area carefully removed, we lifted the tiles and battens to reach the damaged felt. We renewed the underlay locally, reinstated the tile covering and repointed the ridge caps along the same section.
The finished work
The completed photographs show the tiles and panels back in place and fresh pointing at the ridge. The renewed underlay is concealed beneath the covering. This was a repair to the affected section, rather than a replacement of the whole roof.
