We upgraded three exposed roof details at a home in Whitestown, Blanchardstown: a new dry verge system along the gable, fresh pointing around the ridge tiles and a chimney cup. The photographs show the preparation, installation and finished roofline.

What needed attention

The gable verge, ridge tile joints and chimney opening were the focus of this roof-detail job in Whitestown. The existing ridge tiles needed repointing, and the roof edge was to be finished with a dry verge system.

How we approached it

We prepared the ridge tiles and repointed the exposed joints. Along the gable, we fitted interlocking grey dry verge units to the tiled roof edge. We also fitted a chimney cup.

The finished work

The finished photographs show fresh pointing along the ridge and a uniform dry verge line from the eaves towards the ridge. The chimney cup completed the three-part roof-detail upgrade.
